创作背景
8年年末，披头士放弃了现场表演两年多后，保罗·麦卡特尼渴望乐队重返舞台表演。当年的《White Album》录音环节已经看到队员间一些严重的争论，和续渐催向紧张的关系。麦卡特尼认为乐队因为多年没有作现场演奏，已失去凝聚力。这时麦卡特尼想起来母亲曾说过的一句话：“让一切都随其自然”，于是麦卡特尼开始构思这首歌曲。麦卡特尼母亲的名字叫玛丽，所以他用圣经中耶稣的母亲玛利亚来代指自己的母亲，于是诞生了“Mother Mary comes to me”这句歌词[6-7] 。
